On this page you can nominate someone to be considered for an award at the Clive Morgan Deaf Awards evening.
Successful nominations will be announced at the Clive Morgan Deaf Awards Dinner on Saturday 15 November 2025.
All nominations will be reviewed by the Committee. We will also read out the Nomination details on the night of the Awards and the Committee. We won’t include details like email and phone numbers when we read the nomination.
There are several ways to submit a nomination:

There are 11 Award Categories which are listed below.
Achievement in Deaf Film or Media – Recognising excellence in film, digital media, or broadcast work created by or featuring Deaf talent.
Excellence in Deaf Theatre – Celebrating outstanding contributions to theatre, performance, or stagecraft within the Deaf community.
Humanitarian of the Year – Acknowledging a person or group from within the Deaf Community making a powerful contribution to the rights, welfare, and dignity of Deaf individuals.
Deaf Rights Campaigner – Honouring efforts by an individual or group within the Deaf community, that has focused on equity, accessibility, and systemic change.
Deaf Entrepreneur of the Year – Recognising an individual within the Deaf community, who has established or grown a successful business, showcasing innovation, resilience, and leadership.
Community Leader of the Year – Awarded to a person demonstrating exceptional leadership within the Deaf community.
Volunteer of the Year – Recognising an exceptional Volunteer from within the Deaf community who has gone above and beyond, in their role.
Outstanding Educator – Celebrating an educator who has made a significant impact on the education and empowerment of Deaf learners.
Deaf Education Champion – Recognising efforts from a Champion within the Deaf community, who has worked hard to improve access, rights, and outcomes in Deaf education.
Deaf Wellness Champion – Awarded to an individual or organisation making significant strides in promoting health and wellbeing within the Deaf community.
Mental Health Advocate – Recognising efforts to support and improve Deaf mental health awareness, services, or outcomes.
Māori Deaf Leadership Award - Celebrating the leadership, strength, and contributions of a Māori Deaf individual who uplifts te ao Māori, advocates for their whānau and hapori, and inspires others through their commitment to tikanga, mātauranga Māori, and kaupapa that strengthen Māori Deaf communities.
Deaf Athlete of the Year – Recognising outstanding performance and achievement in sport by a Deaf athlete.
Deaf Sportsperson of the Year - Recognising outstanding performance, dedication or contribution to sport by a coach and supporter within the Deaf sporting community.
Innovator of the Year – Celebrating innovation and creativity in technology that supports or empowers the Deaf community.
Young Deaf Leader of the Year – Celebrating a young person (under 25) who has demonstrated initiative, leadership, and impact within the Deaf community.
Honoring a Trailblazer in the Deaf Community - in recognition of a lifetime of advocacy, leadership and unwavering dedication to the empowerment and enrichment of the Deaf community.
